I was very recently interviewed by my friend Cory Heyman, the creator of the Cottage Cupboard Cooperative Podcast: Make It and Sell It where I had the opportunity to explain how I got started and inspired to start painting abstract art and turn my passion into a business. The podcast is available here.

In my abstract paintings, I like to evoke feelings of freedom, liveliness and transformation. Through hyper color contrast and dynamic composition, I try to create movement and instability on my canvas. I thrive on spontaneity, and highly value adaptability and flexibility. I am fascinated by abstract painters like Gerhard Richter and Vassily Kandinsky. Armed with my fancy squeegee and various painting knives, I use techniques from both painters to create colorful imaginary forests and landscapes.
I was born and raised in France but my father was from Nicaragua, a country I have visited numerous times. I presently live in the Washington, DC area where I teach Mathematics part-time at American University and at Montgomery College. I also love learning Argentine Tango.

Since there is no such thing as absolute rightness and truth, we always pursue the artificial, leading, human truth. We judge and make a truth that excludes other truths. Art plays a formative part in this manufacture of truth. Gerhard Richter
For my part I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream. Van Gogh
Les tableaux sont des miroirs magiques, dans lesquels, si l'on sait, en s'éloignant un peu, bien les regarder, d'importes parties de la réalité sont dévoilées. Marcel Proust
Each color lives by its mysterious life. Kandinsky
There is no must in art, because art is free. Kandinsky
The Arc of the Moral Universe is Long, but it Bends Toward Justice. Martin Luther King
