A dense grove of trees rises in vertical rhythm across the canvas, their trunks rendered in thick, textured strokes of crimson, coral, tangerine, and deep indigo on the left, dissolving into cooler passages of periwinkle, lavender, and icy blue toward the right. Delicate flecks of white snow drift throughout the composition, settling into the drifts of pale blush and cream that blanket the forest floor below.

Built up with heavy impasto and palette knife work, the piece captures the sensation of standing at the edge of a winter wood — that quiet, saturated moment where color persists even as the season turns cold.
